Update on Hungary’s vaccine rollout

The head of the vaccine rollout taskforce announced on Saturday that 275,000 doses of the Sinopharm and AstraZeneca vaccines will be available within the next week. General practitioners will be using these vaccines on those with underlying health conditions, and the AstraZeneca vaccine will be further limited to those over 60. Additionally, a limited number of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will be made available for the elderly. So far, there have been close to 600,000 vaccines delivered to Hungary. Most of those are Sinopharm, and many more will be delivered mid-March. The rate at which vaccines are being received is unpredictable.
