Fourteen Polish investors and export companies have been honoured during a Polish Investment and Trade Agency gala.
Nine companies received awards for "foreign expansion," four others for foreign investments and Toyota Motor Poland was given an award for overall achievement.
At the gala, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that thousands of companies were using the foreign offices of the investment and trade agency, of which there are 54, with another 16 in the pipeline.
He added that those offices aim to help Polish businesses export more goods.
Wojciech Fedko, deputy CEO of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, said that the organisation was particularly interested in supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
"They ought to be contratulated for their dynamic growth," Fedko said, adding that they had doubled exports during the last decade.
The gala came ahead of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency EXPO, a forum for supporting Polish business abroad which is to be held on October 25 in Warsaw and which is sponsored by Polish Radio.
