Hungary sets restrictions for coronavirus control
The Hungarian Prime Minister has announced that hospitals have beds, ventilators, and PPE. He believes Hungary is in a good position relative to other European countries. While the number of new infections is high, he said the number one priority is lives and he is not concerned as there are not many new deaths. He believes the increase in cases without a corresponding increase in deaths shows that the virus is not as severe as it was in the spring. He also cited a survey that showed that people want to go back to life as usual. Hungarian unemployment was only 4.7% in June, compared to 7.7% across the EU.
