Hungary’s credit rating improves

Moody’s changed Hungary’s Baa3 sovereign rating from “stable” to “positive.” Hungarian Finance Minister Mihály Varga said this makes the country unique among the EU as so other EU country has seen an improvement in six months. Varga said he believes this shows the increasing strength of the country’s economic policy. Moody’s believes Hungary’s economy has shown greater resilience over the past few years than other countries in Europe, and that its economy will continue to grow once the epidemic is over.
