Hungary approaching herd immunity
János Szlávik of South Pest Central Hospital advised media that Hungary could achieve herd immunity by summer if enough people take the vaccine at the current rate. To reach herd immunity, 60-80% of the population will need to be vaccinated, and currently over 2.5 million people have received it. He said the country should attempt to vaccinate as many people as possible to show the effectiveness of the vaccine. Next week, Hungary will receive the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, which will be the sixth vaccine in the country.
