Hungarian Labor Market Continues Growing Post-Pandemic

As of June 2021, Hungary’s post-pandemic economic recovery prompted a boom in the labor market, with over 4.7 million people being employed. Despite this growth, the nation’s economy continues to suffer from labor shortages in particular industries following the coronavirus’ impact upon the market. The Hungarian government, along with businesses in the region, are actively creating pathways to further lower unemployment, particularly amongst younger populations and people with disabilities. As the nation continues recovering from the COVID-19 economic recession, these institutions will further target these demographics to achieve their goal of having five million people employed nationwide.
