By: The Quinnipiac University Economics Research Team, Jack Hangen

Many people are now projecting that Hungary is returning to pre-pandemic levels. With this year’s GDP growth expected to be 7.6% and next year being 5.1%, experts are saying that Hungry is returning to its pre covid economic trajectory. This is according to data from the International Monetary Fund.

As employment is on the rise, officials say that the pandemic did not interrupt the structure of the economy, making a rebound easier as the negative effects of the virus diminish. The Hungarian government has mentioned several projects that will aid with economic growth as well, supporting the belief that the economy is starting to resemble a pre-pandemic trajectory.
