Over the week of February 18 - February 22, the Czech koruna (blue) was the only country to yield a strengthening in their currency (posting a .19% improvement for the week). Of the other three currencies, the Polish zloty (red) and the Romanian leu (yellow) saw a weakening, while the Hungarian forint (green) ended the week nearly even.
This week the currencies to watch are the Polish zloty and the Romanian leu. Similar to the previous week, the zloty has still yet to return to its three-month average and instead has decreased in value (-.18%) in relation to the Euro.
The Romanian leu is also a currency to watch due to producing yet another week where its value has fell. For several weeks the currency has been above its three-month average, and with the introduction of a new tax package it will be interesting to follow the movement of its future value in relation to the Euro.
