CEE Currency Index: Historical Analysis Oct. 15-19

Updated: Oct 26, 2018

Compared to their rolling three month averages, the Czech koruna and the Romanian leu were the only two currencies consistently outside of their historical range. The Czech koruna rose (i.e., decreased in value) throughout the week while the Romanian leu remained relatively flat but at a level higher than its historical trend (i.e., it is undervalued relative to the past 3 month average). Both the Polish Zloty and Hungarian Forint remained within their +/- 1 standard deviation bands.

Finally, it is worth noting that none of the currencies changed value much during the week. See the Index graphs to see more clearly that none of the currencies deviated by even 1% during the week.
